Aaron LongtonAaron Longton is a fisherman from the coast of Oregon who has come across hagfish while fishing for cod. He has worked with our team to help find us an actual hagfish. Since our team is located in Connecticut, Aaron could not ship us a fish from Oregon. We are thankful for his openness to provide us with a real hagfish.

Grace Niewijk We stumbled upon the work of Grace Niewijk after we had our idea to use hagfish slime for a product. We were so surprised that the idea for using slime had been researched by a high school student for a science competition. This provided our team validation that it could actually work! We attempted to contact Grace, who in her high school years experimented with the Hagsih. She successfully created medical bandages using the Hagfish slime as an absorption method. She never contacted us back, but she was part of out inspiration for the Fish Fix.
